How do I register for the programs listed in your brochures?

There are three ways to register…

1. Complete the appropriate Registration Form and either mail or fax it to the office listed on the form.
2. Call our offices at 724-738-1601 (Slippery Rock) or 724-741-1062 (Cranberry Township), and we’ll take your registration over the phone.
3. Register online with a credit card.

What happens if I decide to cancel my registration before the program begins?

Unless otherwise specified, you may cancel your registration without penalty up to 3 calendar days before the program start date.  After this point, you will be assessed a $10 cancellation fee.

Educational Seminars in LTC Administration: Cancellation requests must be received by our office at least 3 calendar days before the seminar in order to receive a complete refund.  Otherwise, a $25.00 cancellation fee will apply.

SHRM, IIA, IFMA, and ICPM: Cancellation requests must be received 10 calendar days before the program start date, also known as the Registration Deadline, in order to receive a complete refund.  Otherwise, a $100 cancellation fee will apply.

Six Sigma: Cancellation requests must be received 5 business days before the program start date in order to receive a complete refund.  Otherwise, a 10% cancellation fee will apply.

What happens if a program is cancelled due to lack of registration?

If a program is cancelled due to lack of registration, you will receive a full refund of the tuition paid.

My program has started, but I need to withdraw.  Can I get a refund?

We want you to be satisfied with our programs and service.  The Division of Lifelong Learning does not offer a refund for single-session programs.  However, if the program is multiple sessions, you will receive a refund for the unused portion of your tuition.

This policy does NOT apply to the programs offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), or The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM).

No-shows are handled as withdrawals.  For multiple session programs, your refund will be calculated as if you attended the first session then withdrew.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Yes.  If you register online, you will receive immediate e-mail confirmation of your registration.  For all other methods, you will receive confirmation by postal mail, telephone or e-mail approximately 2 to 3 business days after we receive your information.

What is your privacy policy?

The Division of Lifelong Learning respects and is committed to protecting your privacy.  We will not sell, give or provide any personal information you submit to any party outside the University for other purposes.  The Division of Lifelong Learning may obtain information about you either via self-service from this website, through manually completed registration forms submitted to us or other contact you have with our offices.  We will communicate with you in a variety of way including postal mail, e-mail and a limited number of phone calls in order to let you know about educational opportunities available through our division.  Our data is maintained on secure servers behind sophisticated firewalls, and credit card transactions are protected using SSL technology.

What is a "promo code"?

Promo codes are discount codes given to members of participating organizations and to individuals taking certain course bundles (ex. Educational Seminars in Long Term Care Administration Complete Series).  All registrations using a promo code are reviewed by office staff.  Review includes contacting you to verify membership information, if applicable.  If we determine that a promo code was incorrectly applied to your registration, we reserve the right to correct your account and bill/credit your credit card for any difference. 

What type of parking is available?

FREE parking is available at all of our class locations.
